MKB Tackle is a family business located right here in upstate New York. My father Keith and myself, Matt, have been creating this line of jigs and lures for as long as I can remember. With a history of 25 years in the making, we are now offering the highest quality handmade product for all types of fish and fishermen. Each jig we make is hand-soldered with a nickel backing and assorted size Mustad
hooks, hand-painted with only the finest professional grade jig & lure paint to ensure a quality product. When creating this one of a kind superior quality line, we go through a multiple-step process including a base coat, color coat, pattern, and glitter/clear coat. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail that has been maintained throughout the years. Looking to fulfill our dream of sharing our line of jigs and lures we've decided to reach out to our local community once again, but this time not limiting ourselves and looking to branch out to fishermen all over the United States. While we are in the very early stages of building our inventories, we still have a variety of different size jigs with assorted colors and patterns as well as hand-tied lures in various styles. We offer ice fishing jigs and summer round head jigs that have been a staple in our own tackle boxes as well as those who have fished with us over the years. Our jigs are not limited to certain seasons or specific fish but are versatile in different water depths and the variety of fish you may have your eye on. I can't even begin to count the hundreds of thousands of perch we've caught throughout the years. We fish with our ice jigs year round, ideal for brook fishing or even off a boat in the middle of the summer. All fresh water fish love our jigs. Our 1/4 oz. round head summer jigs are suited to fish in any water depth and even the most difficult underbrush due to the durable yet flexible hooks we use. Our favorite fish to catch on this line is the ever elusive walleye. Each summer our drive is to have bragging rights over the biggest walleye at our camp in our little neck of the woods. Again these are not limited to just walleye, they catch the attention of bass and perch as well as any fresh water fish. I imagine any smaller in shore salt water fish would devour these designs as well! While we offer select colors, sizes and patterns, we are open to custom orders with different design combinations. Ultimately we are looking to fire up the business again, this time full force, eager to make our dream a reality and creating a product we are proud to share with distant and local fishermen who share our passion of fishing the great outdoors as much as we do.
