This holiday season, The Shops at Willow Bend has had the privilege of supporting Habitat for Humanity of Collin County through our Deck the Homes community initiative — a project designed to bring people together in a meaningful way.
Twelve local organizations generously dedicated their time and creativity to building and decorating custom playhouses, each reflecting unique themes and cultural touchpoints. Their contributions have transformed Santa’s Village into a place of joy, discovery, and connection for families across our region.
Impact so far:
• Hundreds of families have visited to tour the village and enjoy photos with Santa.
• Two homes have already been purchased, providing direct support for Habitat for Humanity’s mission.
• Community response has been deeply encouraging, with guests engaging not only in the holiday experience but in the purpose behind it.
Our Christmas Around the World Experience further showcased the power of community, bringing together diverse cultural groups, performers, and families to celebrate traditions from across the globe. The event created meaningful moments of learning, joy, and togetherness — reminding us how impactful shared experiences can be.
We are grateful to every organization, performer, partner, and visitor who helped bring this initiative to life. Your involvement is creating real, lasting impact for families in Collin County.
The Village remains open throughout the season, and we look forward to continuing to highlight each playhouse and support Habitat for Humanity’s important work.
