How do you do a Joker Exchange in American Mahjong?
1. On your turn
2. Hand the natural/represented tile to the player with the exposed Joker
3. Place the Joker into the sloped part of your rack and use it when you want!

We all know Jokers are precious and we can never have enough of them in our hand! That said, don’t get caught up in trying to “save” your Jokers for later in the game, when you’re closer to mahjong. If you have the opportunity to call a discarded tile with a Joker, take it! A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush!!
