One of my favorite parts of working with wood flowers is seeing the transformation! Starting with a plain palette and adding different layers of paint and techniques to create the perfect effect. For this speckled orchid to be created I had to allow for paint to dry 4 different times.

I'm always asked "How long does it take you to make an arrangement?". Well... depending on the size it can be anywhere between 20-60 minutes as long as all of the flowers are painted and my greenery and accents are ready to go. It's the preparation that takes the longest.

Hi I'm Bri, owner and creator of Forget Me Not By Bri. I'm so glad you found me and are joining this journey of wood flowers with me!

There are lots of new people recently so I wanted to introduce myself a little bit. If you'd like to hear more stop by Main Street Merchants today between 2:00-6:00. I love getting to know people.

I have been working with wood flowers since 2021 and am continually improving my skills, artistry, knowledge and style. It's been such a fun journey so far and I'm excited to see how this small business continues to blossom over the years.

My motto is to spread joy and happiness one wood flower at a time. We all can use that in our lives. Wood flowers offer a beautiful sustainable way to brighten someone's day.

I was also voted One of the Best Florists in Kendall County which absolutely flabbergasted me. It is such an honor to know that so many people love my work. It was a very humbling call to receive.

This year I have incorporated teaching workshops into my business and I absolutely love it! I get to share my passion for wood flowers and meet amazing people at the same time and of course we have a lot of fun together.

So some personal stuff that you may not know about me. I am married and have 3 boys. We have 2 cats and at one point had a pet snake. No, I was not scared of him I've always been fascinated by snakes since I was a little girl. It was actually my idea to get him! I do have a "regular" job running an independent insurance agency. One day my dream job is to be able to have my wood flower business get 100% of my attention.

Here is your sneak peek at some of the beautiful wood flowers I brought in for the Back to School Sip & Shop. I feel these orchids are exquisite especially since I don't have to worry about over or under watering them! I'm absolutely thrilled with how the specked orchid turned out. I only made 6 orchids so if you aren't able to get the one you love please place a custom order. I can make these in the color of your choice.

I decided to leave the too small photo background on the orchid photos. Some of you might be questioning that decision. I want all of you to see the realistic side of my small business. I mistakenly thought I'd just crop the background and all would be fine😄 Obviously that didn't work. I do not enhance any of my photos or use AI. The only adjustments I make on my photos are cropping and adjusting the lighting to make the colors appear as close as possible to what they look like in real life.
