I am looking into the possibility of selling Air-Lite batting via Facebook, email or phone orders. Which do you prefer, 100% cotton or the 85/15 cotton/poly blend?

Let me know size preference as well. I hope to maintain the sizes I had in the store.

For anyone interested, Kate's Korner Cupboard ( Bert's Bakery) in Comstock has 90" wide muslin fabric from Springs. She is selling this for $5/yd if you take the remaining fabric on the bolt.

She has bleached and unbleached, pink and blue available. One bolt has 14 yds, the other three have 21 yds per bolt.

Here is the latest regarding Chris. We received word in October that her lymphoma is in remission! We are truly happy for that!

She finished up HS Cross Country at the end of October, then wanted to start running again. Eddie is happy about that too, since he runs with her.

Next, she resumed sewing, and that went well. I am around to cut the fabric for her if needed. She dusted off the spider webs from the longarm, and did a sample run to find out how her arm did quilting and afterward. She had no issues with that, and will resume quilting at the turn of the year.

It has been quite awhile since I have posted here. I'll give you a brief update on where we are.

Chris had unexplained shoulder pain last August, and the typical things - tendonitis, strain, rotator cuff - were ruled out. She went through a course of oral steroids, and that didn't solve the problem. Many months of testing and different procedures landed us with a referral to Spectrum in GR. The issue turned out to be lymphoma, and treatment starts tomorrow.

She hopes to regain strength in her arm to resume quilting down the road.

Air Lite Batting is produced here in Michigan! These are environmentally friendly, in that there is no bleaching process used. The batts are all natural color, and a light color at that!

Typical batting sizes are:

Crib - 45" x 60"
Throw - 60" x 60"
Twin - 72" x 90"
Double/Full - 81" x 96"
Queen - 90" x 108"
King - 120" x 120"

Most of you know that quilt patterns do not follow typical batting sizes. Air Lite Manufacturing allows for custom sizing of the batts, as long as you take all 20-yds on the roll, from either the 93" width or 122" width. The custom sizing allows you to use a batt closer to the quilt size, saving you from having to buy a batt much larger than needed.

Yield from 93" width

47" x 60" - 24 pcs
72" x 93" - 10 pcs
90" x 93" - 8 pcs
99" x 93" - 4 pcs + 3 pcs 108" x 93"
108" x 93" - 6 pcs + 1 pcs 72" x 93"

Yield from 122" width

60" x 60" - 24 pcs
108" x 122" - 6 pcs + 2 pcs 72" x 60"
99" x 122" - 4 pcs + 3 pcs 108" x 122"
120" x 122" - 4 pcs + 2 pcs 108" x 122"
72" x 60" - 20 pcs
