Hey everyone! This Saturday from 2:00-3:30 at the store we'll be hosting Cliff Brodeur (with Maryann Sherman) and Terry A La Berry to hear Cliff relate stories of his many years as a square dance caller and Terry will share tales of his many years on the road with Arlo Guthrie. Both will have their books for sale. Come down and support a couple of local legends! Proceeds from Cliff's book will support music in local schools. We are in our new location in the Allendale Shopping Center next to the Chinese Buffet. See you there!

Live music is back at Wood Brothers! We’re hoping to schedule at least one musical event a month at the store. The first event in our new location will be Saturday, December 13 from 1:30-3:00 with Nocturnals - a great trio with John Zarvis on guitar, Ricky Williams on bass, and Jack Dinicola on guitar. A trio of great players, so you know there will be some great music. This is a free event, so come on out! Check out a great band and our new space. We’re still in the Allendale Shopping Center, but now next to the Chinese Buffet. This event will not be live streamed, so you’ll have to experience it the old fashioned way - in person! Looking forward to seeing you all then!

Tony Mcmanus, certified guitar monster, will be playing at the Stationery Factory in Dalton on October 1 in a "pay as you can" concert. You'll never forgive yourself if you don't go. It's amazing that one of the world's foremost Celtic guitarists will be playing in our own backyard. Kudos to the Stationery Factory continuing to bring stellar music to the Berkshires. Support Live Music!

Well we've moved out of our old location, but are not quite ready to be fully open at the new spot. We are at the old Boosted Lounge location next to the Chinese Buffet in the same shopping center. If you have an emergency need for strings, please call - 413-447-7478 - phones should be up later in the day. We hope to be functional by the end of the week. Thanks!

Just wanted to let everyone know that we will be closed all next week to move our store to our new location in the old Boosted Lounge location next to the Chinese Buffet in the Allendale Shopping Center. We are planning to reopen the Tuesday after Labor Day. Come check out the new shop! If you need anything for this upcoming week, we'll still be open all day today, Saturday August 23, from 10-5. Big News! Wood Brothers will be moving from our current location at the end of the month. We will still be in the Allendale Shopping Center, but moving to the old Boosted Lounge location in the north end of the shopping center. Less square footage will make our fixed expenses much more manageable. Please pardon our appearance while we are in transition. Help is also appreciated! More to come as we move closer to the end of the month. Appreciate the support of our community of musicians over the years!

I have two free lawn tickets to James Taylor available for tonight’s concert at Tanglewood if anyone would like them. Just stop into the store and pick them up. Even though Paul Rice can never be replaced, I do need to fill his position at the shop. I am looking for someone who has experience in guitar repair (both acoustic and electric) and could also handle repairs like acoustic guitar bridge replacements, etc. This would be a part time position. There are other components and responsibilities to this position that I can discuss with you individually if you are interested. Please contact through Messenger or see me at the store.

Just wanted to thank everyone who came
to Paul Rice’s celebration of life on Sunday. It was great to see everyone, although under a sad and difficult situation.

Also just wanted everyone to know that we will be closing at 4:00 today to participate in the Pittsfield Public Schools band night at Taconic. We’ll be open again tomorrow at 10:00.
