up and a WAY designs handcrafted burlap baskets, wine totes, tote bags & more upcycled from authentic burlap coffee sacks

“up and a WAY designs” was created to rescue items destined for the trash by upcycling them into creative and unique treasures. Used, authentic, burlap coffee bean sacks from various countries around the world are refashioned into chic burlap baskets. The linings chosen for the baskets are often repurposed fabrics recycled from the Center for Creative Reuse in Pittsburgh, past project leftovers, o

Thank you to all my wonderful customers this weekend at the Three Rivers Arts Festival. It was so nice to meet new friends, catch up with old friends and to see a lot of you as repeat customers. Even if you left only with a compliment and not a sale you are valued more than you realize.

When you shop small it really does give an artist a reason to do a Happy Dance. Thanks to all of you it was my all time best show ever and I am still dancing! 💕

It's summer, Pittsburgh! That means the Three Rivers Arts Festival starts this Friday!! I will be right in the middle of the brand new Arts Landing from Friday through Sunday. All new artists come next weekend. Hope to see all of you checking out this beautiful new area.
