Some people don’t just exist in a community. They become part of its soul.

Marsha Monster Mellow is one of those people. She made so many of us feel like there was a place for us exactly as we were. Long before being different was trendy, she celebrated the monsters, the weirdos, the outcasts, and everyone who never quite fit the mold.

After years of battling cancer, Marsha beat it. ❤️ Unfortunately, the treatment left her with limited mobility, and now she needs a mobility scooter to help her get around safely.

It’s Pride Month, and there’s no better time to give back to someone who has given so much to our community.

Marsha Monster Mellow is a Pittsburgh icon. She was here long before *RuPaul's Drag Race* made drag mainstream, helping shape a scene where weird, campy, underground drag had a home. At a time when pageant drag dominated, Marsha carved out space for monsters, weirdos, and every other misfit who finally felt like they belonged. Both styles deserve love, but Pittsburgh has always had a soft spot for a little underground trash.

After years of battling cancer, Marsha has finally beaten it. 🖤 Unfortunately, the treatment left her unable to safely get around on foot, and she now needs a mobility scooter to regain some independence.
