Hi, I’m Lindsay!

Wedding planner, founder of Homemade Happiness by Lindsay, hopeless romantic, and your biggest cheerleader throughout one of the most exciting seasons of your life.

A few years ago, I made a decision that changed everything. I walked away from my corporate career with no backup plan, only a feeling that I wanted a life that felt more meaningful, creative, and aligned with who I was.

Later that year, I worked my very first wedding and instantly fell in love with this industry.

What started as a backdrop rental business quickly grew into something much bigger. Today, Homemade Happiness by Lindsay offers Signature Full Planning, Curated Partial Planning, Wedding Day Management, Event Styling, and of course, our beloved backdrop rentals.

While I adore beautiful designs, flawless details, and exceptional service, my favorite part of this work has always been the people.

To me, true luxury goes beyond aesthetics.

It’s having someone by your side who genuinely cares. Someone who remembers the little things, celebrates the milestones, answers the texts when you’re overwhelmed, and helps carry the weight of planning, so you can actually enjoy your engagement.

When you work with me, you’ll receive a high-touch, detail-driven planning experience, but you’ll also receive something equally important: a real human connection.

We’ll laugh together, celebrate every planning win, and navigate the stressful moments as a team. On your wedding day, I’ll be there to fluff your dress, keep everything running smoothly, and make sure you feel supported and taken care of every step of the way.

My husband Geoff and I have been together since I was 14 years old and growing up alongside my best friend has given me such a deep appreciation for enduring love. Helping couples begin their own forever is something I’ll never take for granted.

My goal is simple: to create a wedding experience that feels both elevated and deeply personal.

The venue was absolutely stunning and provided the perfect place for such a special day. Surrounded by lush greenery, gorgeous blooms, and beautiful summer weather, every moment felt straight out of a fairytale.

From the ceremony space to the reception tables, the entire day was filled with romantic garden vibes and thoughtful details that came together so beautifully.

The soft florals, glowing candles, and elegant touches complemented the natural beauty of the garden perfectly, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for everyone in attendance. It was truly an honor to be part of such a meaningful day and to help bring their vision to life.

Hannah & Kevin’s wedding day was filled with timeless elegance and beauty! ✨

The day began with their ceremony on the magnificent Grand Staircase of the historic Allegheny County Courthouse. Surrounded by soaring stone arches, intricate architecture, and over a century of Pittsburgh history, they exchanged vows in one of the city’s most iconic and historic spaces.

Their celebration continued with a reception at the beautiful Duquesne Club, a landmark that has embodied Pittsburgh sophistication since the late 1800s. The Duquesne Club remains one of Pittsburgh’s most distinguished venues, known for its rich wood-paneled interiors, grand fireplaces, detailed craftsmanship, and old-world charm.

Inspired by the Duquesne Club’s classic elegance, the wedding design featured romantic florals in shades of plum, lavender, blush, and ivory, candlelit centerpieces draped in rich fabrics, and details that perfectly complemented the club’s historic character. Every space felt warm, inviting, and effortlessly beautiful! ✨

From the grandeur of the Allegheny County Courthouse Grand Staircase, to the timeless beauty of the Duquesne Club, Hannah & Kevin’s wedding was a celebration rooted in history, elegance, and love! 🤍

Shay & Ray had a beautiful day! Despite all of the heavy rain in the morning and afternoon, Shay & Ray were able to get some peaks of sun shining in through all of the windows of their beautiful wedding at the Triveni Center before the start of their ceremony.

Rich emerald greens, soft ivory florals, shimmering gold accents, and sparkling sequin runners came together to create a beautiful and elevated atmosphere for Shay & Ray’s special day. Every element of their decor was thoughtfully selected and detailed to bring their vision to life.

From the custom Pittsburgh skyline projection and candlelit reception tables, to the rich burgundy florals, elevated gold details, and layered textures throughout the space, every design element was thoughtfully curated to reflect their story. Guests were welcomed by meaningful touches including a beautifully styled seating chart, a heartfelt memory table, a timeless “wedding before ours” generations table, and of course, a classic Pittsburgh cookie table. 🍪❤️

We loved bringing their vision to life in a way that felt elegant, personal, and undeniably Pittsburgh.

From vendor arrivals and timeline management, to handling behind-the-scenes logistics and problem solving, we become your wedding day managers, so you can focus on enjoying your wedding day instead of managing it.

• Event Styling — You dream it and we bring your vision to life! After spending months selecting decor and envisioning your wedding aesthetic, the last thing any couple wants is to have loved ones setting up centerpieces, lighting candles, or packing everything away at the end of the night.
