East End Community Thrift Store http://thomasmertoncenter.org/thrifty/ We are a community service site for many organizations, such as Renewal. We are always looking for volunteers. Thank You!

The East End Community Thrift (Thrifty) is an all volunteer-run thrift shop which provides quality, low cost used clothing and household goods to the surrounding community. Since its inception in 1993, Thrifty has worked with over 100 area homeless programs to offer their residents vouchers to shop free for items they need for themselves and their families. Senior citizens from The National Urban

League (formerly AARP) are an integral part of Thrifty, overseeing many of the daily operations at the store. If you can volunteer your time and strength (or have a donation), please don't hesitate to contact us (ask for Shirley or Shawna) After hours and on Saturdays, you can reach Shawna at [email protected] or (412)721-6811. We appreciate your donations more than you know, but please do not leave donations outside the door if Thrifty is closed!

An Update from Thrifty!

This August, we will be unable to accept donations at Thrifty! If you'd still like to contribute to the Thrifty community we encourage you to support our shop by:

Attending First Friday: We'll be open late on First Friday (Aug 2) for our monthly Fill-A-Bag & Basement Sale!

Volunteering with us: Come sort donations on Wednesday's from 5pm-7:30. Sign up or show up to volunteer! (See link.tree for sign-up, the garage door will be open on Gem Way behind the store front.

Shop with us! Stop by during store hours to shop till you drop! From work attire to school clothes, we've got something for everyone!

Hours: T-F 10am-3p & Sat 12p - 3p

Hello everyone! Thrifty will be open during Unblurred for "Sip and Shop." Stop by East End Community Thrift on March 1, FRIDAY from 6pm-10pm. We'll have wine, mocktails, and a DJ! $10 fills a bag & helps to fix the floors at Thrifty! Can't attend?
