Our second guest announcement is one of THE storytellers in the industry, influencing generations of comic book fans and professionals.

Mr. Golden authored creations that are some of the most licensed and enduring in the industry. Co-creator of ROGUE, BUCKY O’HARE, MICRONAUTS, and “THE NAM,” among much more.

Mr. Golden is known as one of THE artists on such characters as Batman, Dr Strange, G.I. Joe, and The Punisher. Mr Goldens recent covers can be seen on everything from “Spawn” to the “Walking Dead”, to World Wrestling Work. Recent covers include works on “The Walking Dead”, “Deadpool”, and “Daredevil” to name a few. In short, no history of comics is complete without touching on the influence that this legendary artist has had on this industry. Recent books on the colorful life and vibrant art of Mr. Golden include “Michael Golden: Alchemy,” “Modern Masters: Michael Golden,” “Excess: The Art of Michael Golden,” and “Michael Golden: Dangerous Curves.” In addition, having served as both Senior Art Director at Marvel Comics and Senior Editor at DC comics, Golden’s lectures and classes in storytelling are sought after worldwide, with recent ventures including places as diverse Spain, France, Russia, Norway, Brazil, Chile, and China. With recent gallery shows mounted in New York City, Maryland, Spain, and Russia.

We are starting our Fall guest announcement with a bang!!

We are honored to host Mr. Larry Hama for his FIRST EVER PITTSBURGH APPEARANCE!

Mr. Hama is an Eisner Hall of Fame writer/artist/editor/actor who is best known as the writer for Marvel's G.I. JOE and WOLVERINE comics in the 1980s and 90s. Mr. Hama created and scripted BUCKY O’HARE, which was a comic, an animated show, and toy line from Hasbro.

He has also written, edited, or drawn for AVENGERS, CONAN, BATMAN, WONDER WOMAN, X-MEN, SPIDER-MAN and dozens more. His illustrations and cartoons have appeared in NATIONAL LAMPOONS, ESQUIRE, NEW YORK, and ROLLING STONE. His most recent is THE DEATH OF CAPTAIN AMERICA, which was also released as an audio book. In comics, he has recently scripted IRON FIST/Heart of the Dragon for Marvel and SPY HUNTER / PAPER BOY for DC. He has also done layouts for DEATHSTROKE, DAMAGE, and MICHAEL CRAY@DC. Currently writing GI JOE: ARAH for Skybound. He is also an INKPOT award winner and an inductee into the Harvey Awards Hall of Fame.

As an actor he has appeared on TV in M.A.S.H., SNL, and ANOTHER WORLD. He originated the characters of Lord of The South, and Lt. Williams in the 1976 B’Way production of Stephen Sondheim’s PACIFIC OVERTURES, and he has done commercials and voice overs.

The Spring Comic Book Bonanza has come to a close…..dont worry!!!!!!!… BIG FALL NEWS Coming!!!

Thank you to all of the PCBS Staff, Vendors, Attendees, Guest Creators, and the hotel staff! It’s always amazing to see all of the comic book enthusiasts come together and enjoy the day celebrating comic books!

We appreciate the support of the comic book community making our event continue to grow show after show. YOU SHOWED UP BIG TIME FOR THIS ONE!!!

We already have multiple guests booked for our fall show. This fall show is shaping up to be our largest guest list ever!!! Attendees who grabbed one of our programs got the early big news! We will fill everyone in digitally over the next week or so!! Stay tuned!!
