Cooling weather means it is time for warming beverages.

A staple at our house through the winter holidays is mulled apple cider. Our tree decorating wouldn't be the same without it. Try my mulling cider blend for a yummy mix.

It wouldnt be fall at our house without this spice blend. Hot mulled cider is our warming beverage through the winter - a nice alternative to hot cocoa. Our fall and winter tradition this spice blend will warm your soul. Use it to enhance your mulled cider or wine (recommend a heavy red).

Tia's Green Salve.

Some of you who have know me a long time will remember how this salve was born.

Brandi named it and used it on her baby's diaper rash - the baby who recently graduated from high school.

It has gone through some evolution over the years but the essence is the same. Basically I use it on any irritated or inflamed skin and it is a speedy healer.

This is a must have at our house - I have made it every year for the last 20 years. Summer wouldn't be as much fun without it. My own formula of essential oils in an aloe/alcohol base. A nice citrus fragrance that is effective and pleasant to apply.

This is the first time I have attempted to sell this family healing salve. It is something that began over 20 years ago as a balm for poison ivy when the OTC remedies irritated my skin. My niece named it (Tia means aunt) and used it on her baby's diaper rash. That baby is now graduating high school.

The formula has evolved over the years and our family uses it for almost any skin problem including athlete's foot, mosquito bites, diaper rash, poison ivy and almost any other skin rash. It is all herbal infusions and essential oils in an almond oil base.

Liquid volume before setting was approximately 1/3 cup.

CAUTION: DO NOT USE ON OPEN SORES - it actually heals the skin too fast - and might seal an infection inside.
