Absolutely smitten with how this cover turned out. I love the relaxed feel it gives, and without a fixed closure my journal can grow however it needs to. In the second photo you can see the back, and how I went back to my original signature skip stitching. I think I'll be making some more of these. Let me know if you are interested!

As some of you know, we have longed for a bit of land and a home of our own to build our dreams. We want to be able to raise our own animals and food. We want to live closer to the earth. We want to give our children a different life than the fast pace that seems to have been prescribed to this generation.
And it has come time to move forward with those plans! About 5 years ago we found an area in PA that we dreamed to call home, and Adam has accepted a job there! We will have a bit of time while we search for our farm, but I am beyond excited for this adventure and wanted to share with you all.
This will mean that my shop will be closed for quite awhile since all of our belongings will be in storage, but you can bet that I will trying to create with anything I can find in the meantime! Stay tuned for lots of fun on this journey forward!

Sometimes new ideas come in drips and I'm not quite sure what they will transpire into. Other times, it's like lightning (which is my favorite), coming to me quickly and begging to be made. This was one of those times.

I'm so pleased with how these turned out! They are a mix of leather and gorgeous kantha fabrics. They have pockets inside, and some on the back as well.
And I can't wait to move in.
What do you think?

Went on a walk in the woods yesterday and grabbed some flowers to try dying with them. I'm please with how the fabrics came out!

So many times when I have an idea, my prototypes are anything but pretty. Wonky lines and messy stitches. But sometimes, just sometimes... they work. While this project needs lots of tweeking, I'm quite pleased with how it turned out! It takes so much time and mental energy to create new designs and patterns, but when it works out, it feels so darn good💛

Sometimes I struggle with a cover, knowing that it will be seen more than anything I ever put inside. In the end, simplicity is usually best for me💛
