6th ANNUAL TYPHOON POWER WASHING CHARITY FISHING TOURNAMENT
August 31, 2024 9am-10:45am

$20 + 3 Nonperishable Food Items
This is a down home, amateur bream (brim) bank fishing tournament. Bass are hard to catch, but kids and even grandma can catch panfish!
The rules are simple: Heaviest bream wins. Any kind of bream is eligible: bluegill, green sunfish, shellcracker, redbreast, war mouth, pumpkinseed, etc. Weights of fish will not be added. Simply, the heaviest single fish wins. Catch a fish, weigh, him, and that's your mark. If you catch a bigger fish, make sure you weigh him, and then THAT will be your mark. The winner receives $100 and a trophy. Second place wins $50. All food donations will go to local food distribution group.
There will be an optional QUANTITY POT. The quantity pot is a separate contest in which the participant that catches the MOST fish wins! This category is open to ANY fish. Bream, bass, crappie, catfish, etc. If it's a fish, it counts in the QUANTITY POT. Entrance to the QUANTITY POT contest is $5, The winner collects all, so the more that participate, the larger the prize!
Each paid participant of the fishing tournament will have his or her name put in a prize drawing to be held at the end of the tournament. The prizes will include a new rod and reel, a bottle of wine, fishing tackle, and various gift cards. The drawing is free, however, not everyone will win.
LOCATION: The Ponderosa Retreat
445 Davistown-Mercer Rd, Pinetops NC
The Ponderosa Retreat is a Pay To Fish pond. $5 of the tournament entry fee MUST be placed in the green collection box on the left side of the path leading to the pond. The remaining $15 + non perishable food items grants entry into the tournament. The banks are clean and clear, but the space is limited. Also keep in mind that this is a privately owned, residential pond, so let's please be respectful while on private property.

If you want to keep your fish, that's fine, however, if you catch and release, please give any crappie you catch to someone that wants them. The owners want to get rid of as many crappie as possible.
