This morning I am feeling a bit vulnerable. I am a bit taken aback by the medical bills I am starting to get from preop appointments that I have. While I have the typical market place minimum health insurance coverage for visits and scripts, it has been no luxury for my pocket. I have yet to receive the actual cost of the upcoming surgery this August. Jokingly, this will be the only birthday present I will be receiving this year in August, a new hip.
I maybe regretting my decision to take some time off July 15th through September 1st to rehabilitate. I have always worked for a living and rarely depend on others or the government for help nor do I plan to start now. I don't plan to get back into the festivals for at least a few months, but I am trying to work at home on smaller projects that don't require walking a lot.
Yesterday with the help from my roommate, Michael, we moved my equipment into the living room and made it mobile and functional. My studio that I have is a bit messy after the move but I will keep my heat presses there. So my arms and hands are still good and creative if you need shirts and accessories done. While I have some downtime with making shirts, I thought one should know the Creative Loafing Tampa Best of the Bay 2024 Nominations just opened up. Yes, I added Jeffy Tees to the Goods Category for Best Tee Shirt Shop. Feel free to vote for us. To make the finals they select the top ten in each category. Working on some merch that I have here at Jeffy Tees to post on the FB Marketplace. Medical bills and other things have been mounting up before August Surgery. Since mobility has become an issue, I will be posting a lot of completed merch to sell on most social media like FB, Instagram, Tik Tok, Etsy, Amazon homemade and our new website sponsored by Shopify. Just a reminder to our customers new and recurring, we thank you for your business from the bottom of our hearts. As a small business today's challenge more fierce competition from big box more than ever. We, at Jeffy Tees, hope you continue supporting small businesses, locally.
Finally, I posted about two weeks ago that Jeffy Tees will be taking a break from July 15 through September 1st for medical procedures. If you have ordered a project from us to do prior to July 15th, we still will honor it. During that period July 15 through September1st we will not be working on any projects so that I can prep. In the meantime, I also decided that I will not be online effective tomorrow and should return on or about September 1st. If you need to place an order prior to July 15, you can contact me through my email at [email protected] or [email protected]. I decided to remain offline from social media for the next three months and I apologize in advance if I don't respond back during this time. P.S. Last advise : If you pay more than 30. 00 for a custom tee shirt from a retailer, designer, or big box business, then you are paying too much. Jeffy Tees will never charge more than 30.00 for a shirt that's our promise.

Yesterday I posted that I will be having surgery in August after finding out the results of my MRI. I wanted to let it sink in for a least a few hours before posting again. Today I wanted to post something about what this means regarding my current business for Jeffy Tees.
Except for June 1st Pride Festival in Gulfport, I did cancel my participation for the upcoming Festival like St. Pete Pride and my plans for GeckoFest in late August or Early September so I can recover from surgery. While I am disappointed in this decision, I thought recovery was the best thing.
I will have a booth at the Gulfport Pride and as of today plan to attend myself with my dear friend and associate Michael O'toole. I have also asked a couple of friends of ours to see if they could help Michael with things like setup and take down of our booth and other things as I will be sitting most of the event. I want to thank them all in advance for this. They are true friends for life and I appreciate them.
As for Jeffy Tees, any orders that I have currently have going on and up til July 15th, I have will continue to complete including any that will be coming in. My customers who already have discussed projects planned will still be honored. I will send a separate email to those customers with the same update.
Because of the surgery in August, Jeffy Tees will not be accepting new orders from anyone including our regular customers (who we appreciate) after July 15 through September 1st. This will only be short termed, I do not plan to close for good. I and Jeffy Tees will be back stronger and healthier than ever. Bet on it. Thank You!

Along with a few orders working on this week, I have been improving Jeffy Tees online presence for our customers. Our website jeffytees.com is under construction which should be ready by June 1st the latest. However, to track our reopening you can sign up for updates on jeffytees.com. Simultaneously, working on our new online presence with Amazon Handmade with Jeffy Tees products that are made locally here. A link to our Handmade store will become available soon. The same products that we sell in person from our festival participations like Get rescue or Pride events you will have an opportunity to purchase here.

Speaking about Festivals, we just got approved for our Gulfport Pride participation on June 1, 2024. Look for us showing our colors then. We are working on returning back to St. Pete Pride on the 23rd of June. Stay Tune!
