Paul's Saddle Shop / APsaddlery.com Saddle Repairs, Custom Leather Work, and Tack My grandpa Paul Wiedeman started the shop in 1991. His specialty was repairing saddles and making tack.

I grew up playing on the floor in the shop. He would show me things along the way, but I never thought I would pursue the art of leather crafting. In 2011, cancer got the best of him. I never realized how much he taught me until I put it into practice. I'm constantly learning with every project I take on. The key to success in the leather business is conforming to modern day designs while keeping

prices reasonable. We want to help you get the product that you can't find anywhere else! I manage all operations of the shop including designs and production, along with various other projects. My wife gives that special touch to projects that appeals to all ages and genders. The name AP Saddlery was created by me adding A for Austin, and P for Paul. In that aspect, every item created and branded with the AP Logo will have the works of Austin and the heart and memories of Paul. Words can't explain how much I enjoy doing leather work. Good news! We can still operate since we don’t need to come in contact with others. All saddle drop-offs are currently suspended since most of our clientele are in the categories considered more compromised.
We are still taking orders placed on all platforms (APSaddlery.com, Etsy, and yes, Amazon), and shipping those orders out.

Perfect example why to purchase American made saddles. I’m replacing the fleece on this saddle and did a 2nd take once I removed the old fleece. They used a Hamilton blender box as a stiffener in the skirt. Add in the mdf material and this saddle is not built to last.
