The Purple Purse The Purple Purse is a nonprofit "repurposed goods store" located @ 1514 State St. in Pine Bluff, Ark

The Purple Purse is part of the CASA Women's Shelter which is a private non-profit organization that provides emergency shelter, transitional housing, food and supportive services to homeless victims of domestic violence. All proceeds from The Purple Purse are put back into the shelter and benefits ALL victims of domestic violence.

**On average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused b

y an intimate partner in the United States. During one year, this equates to more than 10 million women and men.

**On a typical day, there are more than 20,000 phone calls placed to domestic violence hotlines nationwide.

**1 in 15 children are exposed to intimate partner violence each year, and 90% of these children are eyewitnesses to this violence.

**The cost of intimate partner violence exceeds $8.3 billion per year.
