In America, courts interpret the law. Agencies enforce it — they do not get to ignore binding court orders.
A federal judge permanently enjoined ATF and DOJ from enforcing NFA Form 4 registration and approval requirements against the plaintiffs and their current and future customers, including those of Silencer Shop, SilencerCo, and B&T USA, for covered suppressors. That order is in effect today.
Inventory sourced from Silencer Shop, SilencerCo, or B&T under the court order transfers with a standard 4473 + NICS background check. No Form 4. No ATF wait. No federal registry entry for those protected transfers.
Agencies do not override federal court injunctions. The process is clear. The order stands.
Disclaimer: This can change if a higher court stays or reverses the ruling. As of today, August 13, 2026, the district court order controls covered inventory and customers from these parties. Always verify current status and comply with all applicable state and federal law.
