This Memorial Day, we pause to remember what the day truly means.

Today is about honoring the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country and the freedoms we often take for granted. It’s about remembering those who never made it home, those still missing, those actively serving, and the veterans who continue carrying those stories every day.

At The Patriot Peddler, we hear those stories often. We see them in the faces of our customers, in the memories shared inside our store, and across the walls lined with just a small glimpse of the heroes who helped shape America’s story.

For nearly 250 years, generations of Americans have stepped forward in times of uncertainty to defend freedom and uphold the Constitution for everyday citizens. Freedom is not free, and Memorial Day is a reminder of the cost that has been paid by so many.

As you go along your day, we hope you also take a moment to reflect, remember, and appreciate the opportunities we have because of those sacrifices.

Support your veterans. Support our troops. Shop USA made. Shop local. Support small businesses and your local economy.

And when you visit Patriot Peddler, take a moment to look around our walls and remember the people who helped give us the chance to live the American life we enjoy today. 🇺🇸

Today we take a moment to reflect on the men and women who have served our country with courage, honor, and selflessness. Your strength and sacrifice have shaped the freedoms we enjoy every day, and we don’t take that for granted.

Our Wall of Heroes stands as a small tribute to those who’ve answered the call, reminding us that freedom isn’t free, and it’s carried on the shoulders of those who’ve served. Every photo and every story on that wall represents something bigger than words can express.

To all veterans, thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your example. You are remembered and appreciated not just today, but always. 🇺🇸

We wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves! Patriot Peddler will still be veteran, family, and locally owned. No big changes — just a few exciting additions! We’ll be bringing in some new Americana products that fit right in with everything.

And don’t worry, the beloved Wall of Heroes is staying! You can continue to submit your hero photos to us at [email protected].

We’re also thrilled to share that we’ve been preparing for America’s 250th anniversary celebration in 2026! 🇺🇸 We’ve handpicked some special USA-made, Americana-inspired products that will start arriving over the next few weeks — so keep an eye out!

Well, friends, today is our final day to enjoy time with you at the Patriot Peddler. Thank you for the outpouring of love and support following our announcement of the sale of the store. We have enjoyed our years there, including all the guests we met from all over the world and all the stories we've heard about the heroes that grace the walls of the store. May God richly bless each and every one of you. May He bless all our military and their families, as well as the first responders who put their lives on the line as they serve their communities. Dear Friends & Family,

We want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for all your support for the Patriot Peddler! Throughout our almost 10 years here, we have laughed and cried with many of you as you have visited us, shared your stories and the photos of your heroes. We’ve enjoyed watching your children grow as you have come back every year to take family pictures in our photo op.

During that time, our lives have changed as well. We’ve lost elderly parents, added in-laws and some grandbabies. It’s now time for us to step aside and focus on this new season of life. As of November 1st, 2025, the Patriot Peddler will be under new ownership. We are so very thankful that God provided a buyer so that the store can continue to be part of the vibrant life of The Island in Pigeon Forge. The Wall of Heroes will remain, as will the thousands of pictures you have shared with us since we first opened our doors in 2016. The patches and challenge coins you have shared with us from all over the world will also remain.

The Patriot Peddler will continue to be veteran and family-owned so we hope that you will continue to support them and show them the same love and appreciation you’ve shown us during our time here.

There will be a new page for the store and we will share that information as soon as it’s available.

We are very thankful for the local, regional and state leadership for stepping up and cutting through the politics to keep Great Smoky Mountains National Park fully open to visitors.

Local and state partners fund $61,703.18 each day to ensure full operations.
