These Royal Copenhagen figurines are all vintage, first quality and in mint condition from the early 1960's. Some figurines are rare and are not being produced anymore. Most are being sold for 20 to 30% or more off the manufacturer's list price, with the more rare pieces slightly higher. You may see similar pieces on some auction sites that sell for much lower prices. This is because the factory sometimes failed to produce perfection and pieces were marked as 'seconds'. This was done by scratching through the three wavy blue lines either with a diamond cutter or a wheel. There are also thirds, fourths etc. The reasons why some pieces are seconds are sometimes unclear, ranging from minor color variations from the norm to obvious blemishes. Also, with the older pieces (pre-1935), production technique/quality controls were not as stringent as today. Some early pieces were not marked as second even though there are glazing or color defects.
All are in mint condition, with no crazing, cracks or marks

Wonderful example of the artistry of Royal Copenhagen. Goose Girl figurine measures 7-1/4" tall and features a peasant girl leading her goose. Beautiful soft colors would blend with any decor. Approximately 50 years old. No chips or cracks, mint condition. Retails for $495.00. Quantity 1, $375.00.

Baccarat Crystal is renowned worldwide for their beautiful crystal and glass creations. Baccarat was founded in 1764 in Baccarat, France. They initially manufactured mirrors, window panes and glassware including wine glasses until 1816 when they began to produce fine crystal. This proved to be an important turning point for the company.
Their reputation for making high quality crystal quickly grew and in 1823 they received their first royal commission from King Louis XVIII of France for a set of fine stemware. It was very well received and they soon began to receive a steady stream of commissions from heads of state and royalty throughout the world.
