It's with a heavy heart that I must announce that as of TODAY, Big Human Gaming is permanently closed. I went back and forth deciding whether to keep the shop open, run out the lease, find a new location, or some other random options. An opportunity came up to sell the inventory/fixtures to another store and I wasn't sure that if I passed, the opportunity would arise again, so I had to take it and essentially vacate immediately. I had hoped to announce a future closing date, have some cool “goodbye” events and ride off into the sunset, but life always has other plans.

I'll cherish the memories, appreciate the patronage, and hopefully see all of you on the battlefield. Part of the reason I initially decided to close is that I lost a lot of the love I had for games by being inside the business. I no longer got excited about events and even if I did, I wasn't able to join in with the community and participate. Owning a store was a childhood dream and I'm so happy to have lived it out. It was great to experience and I'm sad to see a great community go, but luckily Phoenix has about 100 other stores that I know my community can improve. I can't wait to play with you all as peers.

On the business side, I know people have outstanding store credit. If you have outstanding store credit, please message us on Facebook and I will make sure we take care of you. Also, I've already had people ask, we do not have stock or singles or anything available after closing.

Another game unfortunately hits the dust. Battle Spirits has had a great, but small group of people, but as the largest turnout in forever has been 5 people (and normally 3 people) we have made the decision to stop running events. I'm so sorry to those people who have shown up every week and supported as best they can. Dorian, Nero, Gremlin, Benny, and Denton rule.

There were 53 entrants this weekend into pre-releases (including take home) - (people who played in more than 1 received more than one spot in the drawing), but unfortunately Phimus Pan ( #23) has won the Dragonlord Atarka promo.
