Contest alert!
Have a joke about the nitrogen cycle that never gets the laughs it deserves? Should your goby puns be bringing down the house? Don’t worry, we get you here at the Ocean Floor – and now is your chance to make it a shirt for your fellow aquatic life enthusiasts.
Enter a fishkeeping-related design in our Ocean Floor T-Shirt contest! The winner will receive a free shirt of their design, will have their design sold at the Ocean Floor, AND will receive a $50 Ocean Floor gift card.
The best part? YOU choose the winner! Vote for the design you like best from our judge-selected finalists.
If drawing’s not your thing, that’s no problem! Simply send us a sketch of your design and, if your idea is chosen as one of the finalists, we will illustrate your concept for final voting.
Submission period only runs until the end of May, so get your entries in before time runs out! Just reply to this post with your entry, send us a DM, or email them to [email protected]. We can’t wait to see your fin-tastic ideas!
A few more details:
-Designs must be for the front of the shirt only
-Designs can be include a maximum of six colors
-All work must be the entrant’s original creation. Use of copyrighted characters or images is strictly prohibited.
-Enter as many designs as you would like!
The legal bit:
By submitting an entry, contestants agree to terms as outlined. This contest is open to legal residents of the continental United States. Must be 18 or older to enter. The t-shirt contest team reserves the right to make adjustments and alterations to the winning entry. The winning artist grants to the Ocean Floor the exclusive right to the design, including any modifications thereof, to be used on promotional/marketing and other Ocean Floor materials. The artist shall indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Ocean Floor from and against any and all suits, actions, claims, damages, liabilities, judgments, losses and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of any violation of third party rights (including, without limitation, intellectual property infringement, misappropriation, dilution or violation) in connection with the Ocean Floor’s use, distribution, publishing, sale or exploitation of the design. Contest entry period begins on May 12th, 2026, and ends on May 31st at 11:59PM MST. Winner will be notified through the platform they submitted their design (Facebook, Instagram, or email.) If we are unable to contact the winner within five (5) days of initial attempt, prize will go to the runner-up.
