It's especially meaningful to me that this bar is a finalist. Nicaragua captured my heart years ago. It's where I started sponsoring a little girl who is now an amazing young woman and it was on a visit to meet her that I learned more about cacao - how/where it grows, who farms it etc - which led me to eventually start making chocolate. So I always knew I wanted to make a bar with Nicaraguan cacao, I was just looking for some really special beans. Found 'em!
The Good Food awards are annual awards that recognize food crafters who top the charts in a blind tasting and meet the environmental and social responsibility standards of the Good Food Awards.
