Stunning x-small cabinet specimen of ferro-axinite with (possibly) quartz and calcite from the Boron Pit, Primorski Krai, Dalnegorsk, Russia.

The clear crystal in the center *might* be danburite, but Im not certain of the structure. (Im very open to your thoughts!)

Ferro-axinite a complex calcium iron aluminum boro-silicate mineral, with a Triclinic crystal structure (typically sharp, wedge- or axe-like blade crystals).

Measures roughly 1.75” across the bottom and 1.5” high (4cm x 3.3 cm).

Richly coloured orange quartz (iron coated) covered with calcite, from Guangdong, China.

Quite possibly from the Dagougu Deposit, Yingde City, Qingyuan, based on comparision pieces.

The calcite is covered with an insanely sparkley microdruze quartz and it is absolutely shimmery.

The calcite does react under UV light and where the druze is thinnest, it turn bright pink.

Measures roughly 3.25” x 2.5” (8.5 cm x 6.5 cm).
