This Rhodes was in pretty rough cosmetic and mechanical condition when it first arrived and we’ve since started to bring it back to its former glory. Rhodes pianos and Wurlitzers have always been the bread and butter at Sonic Rehabilitation. Owner and master tech, Jon, has over twenty years of Rhodes restoration experience working with clients ranging from world renowned commercial to home recording studios, Grammy winners to weekend warriors. This Rhodes was one of the most recently restorations here at the shop. A full Rhodes restoration complete with new tolex and hardware. A rebuilt, recalibrated, and upgraded action. The harp expertly rebuilt and all original electronic components inspected to be restored or replaced. The piano was then set up to achieve maximum dynamic range before being voiced beautifully to the spec the client requested. We’re passionate about making sure you can’t get enough of your newly restored piano. If you’ve been thinking about bringing your keys back to life, or have a custom Rhodes project you’ve been dreaming of, let’s chat and see how we can make that dream true.

Get ready for more synth love! This year, we’re looking to significantly expand our parts catalog of affordable, high quality replacement components for your gear. This week we have been prototyping some Juno 60 button caps which tend to discolor and get lost over time. These rough looking prototypes will be put through rigorous testing before we color match to the original factory design and send off for production to ensure they can stand up to the most demanding players.

Hey everyone — Jon here from Sonic Rehab! After much consideration, I’m excited to share that Sonic Rehab has officially relocated full-time to Philadelphia, PA.

We’ve already met so many amazingly talented, creative, and welcoming folks here, and we’re thrilled to be part of this vibrant music community.

Don’t worry — we’ll still be offering select services in NYC and Northern NJ, so our friends there are still covered!
