The Black community has always experienced inequities in funding and academic support whereas police and school police visibility and funding has increased.

The Uhuru Book Fair(UBF) understands that the root cause of these education inequities, poverty, violence and all the problems of the Black community comes from colonialism. UBF brings in education & program partners, who understands the critical nature of education powered by self-determination.

Join us on Saturday September 18th in Clark Park for a family friendly day of culture, music, children's activity, 100+ market vendors and keynote speaker, founder and leader of the Uhuru Movement, Chairman Omali Yesh*tela!

During the pandemic, homeschooling has increasingly becoming the choice for African families because the colonial education system provides less or no social emotional and academic resouces. We need to build more Black Community based resources, we need Black Community Control of education!

The Uhuru Book Fair collaborates with education partners to bring program resources and information. Join us Saturday Sept 18th from 9-5 in Beautiful Clark Park!

Looking for homeschooling groups as education partners.

Please send a DM with any recommendations.
