We see more and more of you riding out there - and we love it. Unfortunately so do the bike thieves. We never like to hear about a bike being stolen but sadly it happens way too often. You'll want to make your bike is as hard as possible to steal. We'll help
you choose a better lock from ABUS Mobile Security and give you tips on how to lock your bike up correctly.

Be prepared for the possibility of theft:

1. Have proof of ownership and bike's serial number
2. Register with a site like Bike Index
3. Make sure to have up to date photos of yourself with your bike
4. Get bicycle insurance
5. Personalize your bike so it stands out
6. Always file a police report

You'll find a wide selection of ABUS locks at both of our shops: 1315 N Howard Street and in the BOK Building, 821 Dudley St. Shops are open Tuesday – Saturday.

Are you looking for a new bike? What bike should you get? If these are questions you are currently asking yourself we can help you out. Sometimes the jargon can be a little intimidating. The good news is that you don't have to become fluent in bike speak to decide which bike is best for you.

The bike-buying process can be boiled down to three basic steps:

1. What type of bike should you get? The right bike for you will depend on where and how you plan to ride. Start by asking yourself where you plan to ride: on streets, bike paths, unpaved roads and trails or some combination of those places?

2. How much do you want to spend on a bike? Bikes within a given category and price range generally have similar types of components. But expect to pay more for higher-performance components or frame materials such as carbon.

3. How should the bike fit? Bikes come in a range of sizes, so start by finding the right frame size based on your height.

Stop by our South Kensington shop to what new bikes are in stock, 1315 N. Howard Street, Tuesday - Friday 10am - 5pm, Saturday 10am - 4pm, closed for lunch 1pm - 1:30pm.
