Betsy's Back To Nature Back To Nature was founded in 1997. It is located in the tourist town of Petoskey, Michigan on Little Traverse Bay of Lake Michigan.

The current owners are Terry and Betsy Newton.

Today marks the one year anniversary that I started at The Pier Restaurant in Harbor Springs. For all of the people that used to come visit me at Back To Nature, I have never forgotten the kindness, love and support I received from you. Please come say hi at the Pier as, I would love to see you. It was a difficult decision to close my little gift shop but, it's been a great year working again for the family at Stafford's Hospitality.

The love of my life is doing well and we are enjoying our time together. We have been together for almost 30 years, surpassing most in my family. My parents made it for 25 miserable years. I grow fonder of Elizabeth Marie Newton as the years go by and realize how God put her in my life for a reason. We have many fine friends and God has blessed us with them and a wonderful family. We can only wish and pray so for the many people that we come in contact with.

Betsy's Back To Nature is now officially closed. All of our merchandise is sold and gone. Our auction was successful and we gave 15% of the proceeds to The Friendship Center. I wish everyone well as I move on to the next chapter of my life. I am very sad and grieving the loss of my store but it was a wonderful 9 years and I could not have been happier to have had the opportunity to have it for so long. Terry and I worked hard to make it successful and prosperous and many of the customers became like family to us. We wish you well and may God be as good to you as he has been to the both of us. Come on over to the Friendship Center on Anderson road today for Betsy's Auction! It is the last day of Betsy's Back To Nature. We still have a lot of great items left. It will be fun!!! 9:00-10:00 you can look at all the items. 10:00-12:00 or later the Auction.

Betsy's Back To Nature is now officially closed and the store is bare. We worked our proverbial butts off to clean it out and, it is with great sadness, it is now empty and ready for its next chapter in life.

That being said, for the people that are still around or, can get up here; April 5th is the great auction at The Friendship Center on Anderson Road. You can come look at the things that are left at 9:00 - 10:00 and the auction runs from 10:00 - 12:00 or, until it is done; with 15% of the proceeds being donated to The Friendship Center.

We hope to see you there as:

1). It will be great fun

2). It will give you a chance to see Betsy's warm and infectious smile and personality.

3). It will be an opportunity to help The Friendship Center with 15% of the proceeds going to them.

4). There is still a wonderful selection of Betsy's Back To Nature items there.

5). It will give Bill Collins a chance to show off his auctioneer skills.

6). It's still Winter and its warm inside The Friendship Center.

7). What else did you have to do that day anyways?

March 17th is the last day of Betsy's Back To Nature! Thanks for the memories. I will miss the customers and the store but, now it's time to start a new chapter in my life; to spend more time with my husband; Terry, who I thank for giving me the chance to have my dream. I love you dearly. We have had a great store that has touched many people's lives. Back To Nature made it's mark in downtown Petoskey. I will miss walking each day to the bank; when I would see a lot of the great store owner's who have become my friends. I will come visit you in the future. Best wishes to all. Betsy's Back To Nature is closing out our store! We really have enjoyed the last eight and a half years in the store,but it is time to start a new chapter in our lives. We have loved the customer's that We have met. Some of you have become like family.

I hope that everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving yesterday. It's too bad that shops have to spoil the holiday by being open a day early. Black Friday is today and should be celebrated today.
