Our campground opens for the season on April 1st! Have you ever thought about being a campground host?
Campground hosting is a perfect position for anyone who enjoys camping and helping others. Hosts are often the first to greet visitors. They check on arrivals and departures, write camping permits, acquaint campers with park facilities and regulations, answer questions about local and statewide attractions, help visitors plan outings and more.
The Campground Host schedule at Lincoln's New Salem SHS varies, but typically consists of a 3-days on, 6-days off schedule and/or 10-days on and 20-days off. Extra help is requested on bigger camping weekends/events.
Campground hosts have the privilege of free camping in their own RVs, motorhomes or trailers at designated sites.
Anyone interested in being a campground host can complete and submit a campground host program packet. Questions about being a campground host at Lincoln's New Salem State Historic Site can be sent to [email protected].
You can also find more information and the Campground Host packet at the web address below. Please send completed host packets to [email protected].
