At 143 feet long and 4 stories high, Hayward is home to the world’s largest (muskellunge) musky statue, the Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame. The huge musky features a gaping open jaw that accommodates about 20 persons on an observation platform! The adjacent four-building museum complex displays fishing artifacts, housing an inventory of over 50,000 vintage and historical lures, rods, reels and angling accessories and 1,000 vintage outboard motors, including Evinrude’s first production outboard from 1909. And with that type of real estate in town, it only makes sense that Hayward is the perfect setting for the 73rd Annual Musky Fest, happening June 23-25, 2023.

73rd Annual Musky Festival is Hayward’s largest summer celebration of the great fishing history of Wisconsin’s Northwoods The weekend includes the crowning of the Musky Festival Queen, sidewalk sales, large handmade arts & crafts show, live music, children’s games, great food booths, Musky Run, co****le tournament, FHNB fishing contest, paddle race and a carnival. The weekend concludes with a large parade on Sunday.
