Ginger & Peaches Ginger and Peaches Sewing, LLC is custom sewing! They are a reflection of us! That is a hard pill to swallow but what an honor if we choose to accept.

As a Christian parent, we spend a lifetime learning how to be more Godly disciples while raising our children to be witnesses for Christ. As this lifestyle progresses, one can only hope others see Christ in our actions, words, works, children and relationships. A repurposed life is what is chosen as one no longer follows a worldly view but adopts a new purpose to place their faith and strength in

a Biblical, more Godly view. Through repurposing material items, showing good stewardship of financial blessings, helping others in need while expecting nothing in return, using the earth and animals given to us by God for our sustainability, and leading a more wholesome and fulfilling life all for the glory of God, we are slowly repurposing ourselves. The dream and thoughts behind "Ginger & Peaches" come from this viewpoint, take what we have been given and blessed with and repurpose it to make it new again through our creativeness, originality, and eagerness to fulfill a need for someone else. Mom is working on the latest challenge.... a beautiful, old wedding ring quilt brought in for us to "restore." Well, first glance it's not too bad...but, you keep looking. It has been so loved that it is literally worn out. I can't even remove the old back and batting because that would just destroy this quilt. All the thread is old and brittle and the fabrics are thread bare.
So, new fabric must be appliqued on top of old. And, in such precision that the 1" x 1 1/2" pieces look original.

Not sewing related, but, some of you know I am working my way through my house painting and updating.... laundry room became “cowboy suede” or as we call it in Oklahoma, “red dirt brown.”

Now, on to the dining room! It has Seattle Haze blue on the bottom, it will get a gray top, trim, and baseboards. Second coat of blue went on this morning during our schoolwork time. (We homeschool, so I was listening to them read)

Slow and steady I’ll make my way through the house!
