on Fire Books is the newest book store in Peoria, Illinois, boasting over 10,000 well cared for, unique, hand-picked new and used titles to choose from and growing daily! Customers are welcomed to draw, write poetry, and doodle on the bookcases to add to the already artistic atmosphere. Special events are announced regularly on our website and page, so be sure to follow us to stay in the loop!

Y’all I am so excited to be hosting a Black Out Poetry activity at My Writing Shed this upcoming Friday, June 5th from 5-8 pm! Our First Friday will also be amplified with music from Nicole Montgomery and snacks for you to enjoy during our combined open house, so don’t miss out!

We have a well curated selection of books new AND used in a cozy, clean, and well it space PERFECT for browsing until your next favorite read finds you. We’ll have a small shipment of new books coming in next week as well, and we are getting amped up for June First Friday!

Please join us this Wednesday, May 20th at 7 pm (bring a mask!) for another evening of powerful poetry. The shop will remain open from noon-9 pm as well, so it’s a perfect time to pick up your next read!

Masks are required unless taking a drink/ performing so we may keep our disabled community safer 🥰

Fantasy and Science Fiction is beefing back up nicely, and I also added some customer requests to the mix. I didn’t order before the warehouse ran out, so the new Dungeon Crawler Carl won’t be in for a few weeks, sorry loves!
