Hi gang....
After all the hoopla with FB I've decided to try and post up more while trying to stay outta FB jail.
The latest in LGS world is ammo prices....
Back in February word in the back channels was to expect a 15% to 20% increase due to "material cost increases". No explanation of how the powers that be could foresee material pricing like that but okay.....
That increase actually hit in the 2nd week of March and was blamed on shipping cost climbing due to fuel costs. So much for energy independence but I digress.....
In the last 2 weeks I've seen another 10% jump in wholesale price and a general shortage of popular calibers. I have no idea where we're headed or how long we'll be there so hold on for the ride.....
On a lighter note there are a couple of new American made ammo brands. New Republic has moved to the US and has a good reputation. Veteran Ammunition is a startup out of Florida, veteran owned and is making good stuff. They're both having issues keeping up with demand but that's to be expected with new business models.
