Get your reservation in for this special event. The IVY club will be hosting a Jokes on the Water event. This event is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!! Dinner buffet at 6 pm consisting of tossed salad, spaghetti with meat sauce, garlic bread, and dessert, with the show starting at 7 pm. Headlining the evening will be Dobie Maxwell who will get you started for the evening, Heath James Thornton will be the Featured Act, and Special Guest Blind Stein will also be here. Peoria Historical Society’s “Roots of the River City” Bus Tour … this Friday, September 20

The early history of Peoria, thriving industry, grand mansions … this River City Tour has it all. Learn about the roots of Peoria as you travel along beautiful High Street, Moss Avenue, Glen Oak Avenue, and Grandview Drive with its stunning views of the Illinois River. This tour will be offered only once this year—on Friday, September 20 from 10-11:30am—so don’t miss out! Tickets are $20 each and reservations are required. 1. Who doesn't love Wildlife Scary Park?

2. Spider Hill at Three Sisters Park has a very creative and spooky Haunted forest/attractions!

3. Like zombies? Nightmare on Second St in Chillicothe (including dressing up as a zombie) for the Zombie Walk that benefits brain tumor awareness!

Happy Sunday! It simply makes sense to create a page just for 100 Things To Do In Peoria Before You Die, so that our Peoria community can join together and do special events and share your own Peoria experiences from the 100 vignettes from the book- plus the hundreds of honorable mentions as well.

One goal for this page is to help celebrate all of the wonderful people, and our amazing locally owned businesses, and our special events and 9,000 acres of parkland here in Peoria.

Please bear with me while I learn and grow this page so that everyone can share their special thoughts and memories and suggestions they have as well.

I look forward to creating fun “Peoria Treasure Hunts” and other events to make the book interactive with our Peoria community.
