The logistics of small engine repair has undergone a huge shift in the last year. Many shops have permanently closed, leaving very few of us to serve a growing community. Additionally, there have been huge parts issues ever since the start of the covid pandemic a few years back and continues. We do not know why. Is it because there is a shortage of truckers, or because of port issues (current bridge collapse at a busy port) or because China does not want to supply us due to political issues? We do not know the answer, we just know that we order parts and install them as they come in. We just sent out a unit that has been waiting for parts since August of 2023. All we can do is quality work on the units as parts are provided.
We have had to drastically change our operating hours to provide more uninterrupted time for technicians to work on the 200 units that are currently in the shop so we can get as many as we can back to customers in a timely fashion because this is the gulf coast. It is getting warm and the grass is growing. We know it is hard to reach us by phone but we will always get back to you within 48 hours. We also have added our email address as a method to contact us - [email protected]. The night shift personnel will not call you back after 9 pm but can email you anytime. In looking us up, please use the our google profile. Many others (yelp, keyint, etc.) have posted our profile but we do not manage or keep those profiles up and some of them are dead wrong. One even says we provide handyman work. We don't know where that came from. So the bottom line is that we keep our google profile current and don't sacrifice the time to chase other entity profiles because we need to spend the time repairing your machines. We do not monitor or respond to social media and we do not have text capabilities. Phone, voice mail, and email are our inlets. Our outlet is quality work done as fast as we can get it done for you.
Posted here on our page is a lot of literature on how to maintain your machine, especially through the winter, so it will start right up for you in the spring. It is worth the read and can help you avoid costly repairs and extended repair time.
Finally, a word of caution. There are online outlets that sell cheap, knock off parts. For example, if you are looking for a Briggs carburetor, part #594503, that cost $115.95 and you enter that part number, entries will appear that say "replaces Briggs 594603" and shows a greatly reduced price - like around $40. That is a cheap knockoff, not the real thing, and good luck getting it to work properly. Unfortunately, we can not install those parts for you because then some people want to hold us accountable that they do not work properly. They do not work properly because they are cheap knock offs and we can not and will not be responsible for that.
