🧵💕 **Something NEW is coming to A Ribbon Run Thru It!**

I've been working on something I'm really excited to share!

We're getting ready for the **2027 Riley Blake Block Challenge**, and I'd love for YOU to join us!

Whether you're a beginner looking to build your quilting confidence or an experienced quilter who just enjoys sewing alongside others, everyone is welcome!

✨ **Here's what's happening:**

🧵 A FREE online sew-along featuring the 2027 Riley Blake Block Challenge.

💕 A NEW private Facebook community — **A Ribbon Run Thru It Quilting Circle** — where we can share our progress, ask questions, exchange ideas, and cheer each other on!

🌸 Optional fabric kits for those who'd like their fabrics coordinated and ready for the challenge.

**And here's the best part — you don't have to purchase anything to participate!** Use fabrics from your own stash, choose your own colors, or order a kit. It's completely up to you!

My hope is to create a welcoming place where quilters can learn, share, make new friends, and enjoy creating together.

Because quilting is even better when we share the journey. ❤️

Four coordinating fabrics, a rotary cutter, and an idea! 🍂🧵

Taking my Harvest Meadow bundle from the cutting table to a four-fence-rail quilt block.

First comes the cutting… then the fun really begins!

Stay tuned to see how it comes together. 😉

🍂 From fabric bundle to quilt block!

I've been playing with my Harvest Meadow fabrics again, but this time I'm putting them to work!

A little cutting, a few coordinating strips, and the beginning of a four-fence-rail quilt block.

This is one of my favorite things about quilting. Watching fabrics that look beautiful together in a bundle become something entirely new once you start sewing!

The cutting is done. Next up… let's see how these come together! 🧵❤️

Some days everything comes together beautifully.

Other days… you and your seam ripper spend a little quality time together. 😂🧵

A reminder that even experienced quilters have to back up, make adjustments, and try again.

It's all part of the process!

Tell me I'm not the only one who's had a date with the seam ripper lately! 😉

🍂 Four fabrics. One beautiful combination!

A little floral inspiration, a few coordinating prints, and suddenly… Harvest Meadow comes together! ❤️

One of my favorite parts of owning a fabric shop is putting together combinations that take the guesswork out of choosing fabrics.

Less time matching. More time creating! 🧵

🧵 Halfway there… and this one is a BIG one! 😂

This double-sided T-shirt quilt is officially halfway assembled!

Lots of cutting, stabilizing, quilting, and stitching have gone into getting it this far. Every block has its own memories, and little by little, they're all coming together into one BIG quilt. ❤️

Still plenty of sewing ahead, but it's exciting to finally see it taking shape!

🧵 QUILT CONFIDENCE | Let's Talk Thread Tension!

Ever finish a seam, flip your fabric over, and wonder what in the world happened to your stitches? 😂

We've all been there!

Thread tension can be frustrating, especially when you're not quite sure what needs adjusting.

But understanding a few basics can make troubleshooting a whole lot easier!

This week's Quilt Confidence blog takes a closer look at thread tension, what those stitches are telling you, and how to start finding the right balance for your machine.

And there's a FREE printable Thread Tension Test Sheet to help you keep track of your adjustments!

Because a little understanding goes a long way toward sewing with confidence. ❤️

Meet the Spring Meadow bundle. 🌸🌿

I pulled this one together for everyone who's been chain piecing along with me this week — because once you've got the habit down, you need something pretty to sew with it.

Four fabrics, chosen to play nicely together: the garden print with the daisies, butterflies, and the tiniest bees and ladybugs (I can't get over them 🐝), a deep green pin dot, a soft cream, and a blush pink to pull it all together.

No guessing, no second-guessing at the fabric store — just cut, chain piece, press, repeat. ❤️

Shop link on my page. If you make something with it, I want to see it!

Which one would you cut into first — the garden print or the green dot?
