This is what the anchor buoy looked like from a build I found on the Nautical Research Guild titled HMS Victory by Dafi. A far better replica than I could have accomplished.

OH NO !!! Looks like a enemy cannon ball hit my rudder which was a common method of disabling their prey. But the chains held the rudder in place until the ship could make a safe repair later.

I've just finished attaching the ratlines to the mainmast portside shrouds, At 1/96th scale this equals 46 horizontally evenly spaced lines at .05 inches apart, At full scale these lines were spaced 13 inches apart I used Heller's rigging thread.03mm which at scale would have been 1.5 inches diameter, I used a clove hitch to attached the line to the shroud using a graph I developed to insure even spacing along the way. I still have to trim the ends at each end for a finished look. I consider this project a pro-amateur build as I'm just having fun with it. Next up is attaching the ratlines to the futtock shrouds on the mainmast and this mast will be done. I BUILT A MODEL SHIP TODAY!!!!!
