Back in 2011, after the movie "Atlas Shrugged - Part I" was released, everyone wanted a "Rearden Metal" Trapezoid Bracelet and YKO Studio was the ONLY company producing them! We made ours out of Sterling Silver with a polished side and a raw side and it was quite popular for a while, until the movie company decided to start selling an "Official" version of the bracelet (made of aluminum). Those days are long gone but the first of our Atlas Shrugged bracelets has remained on Jon's workbench... until now! Jon has recently decided to sell that prototype bracelet and we have put it on eBay. The trapezoid pieces are all heavily tarnished Sterling Silver, and the jump rings, end chains, clasp, and safety chain are Silver plate. This distinctive bracelet is the first and last of its kind, and when it is gone, we won't be making any more. If you loved the Atlas Shruggged movie and book and always wanted one of those bracelets, this is you last chance... DON'T LET IT SLIP AWAY!

Sad news - The company that made our towels for us has stopped production on them, so they are no longer available. We will be keeping our eyes open for another way to produce them, but for now, we have removed them from our online store.

Yoko and I were in New Jersey, today, and since we were close we went a little further South, to Bayonne and visited the big Elco Twin Boom Crane in Rutkowski Park. It's something I've wanted to do for quite a while, and it felt awesome to be in the presence of, and touch, this part of history that lowered so many PT Boats into the water during WWII. Adding an eerie feeling was the tattered sling hanging empty from the crane, pieces of it waving in the breeze like the threads of a ghostly shroud. It's sad to think that this crane, and the restored PT-617 in Fall River, MA are the only remaining recognizable pieces of the Elco PT Boats in existence.

We were recently contacted and asked if we could make a T-Shirt and Mug for PT-559 "Black Rufe" personalized with the name and rate of the customer's late Father who was Quartermaster 1c on the 559. I searched the internet looking for a photo of the image used for the PT-559 boat badge with no success, but I put something together using an image of Black Rufe from the L'il Abner comic strip that I colorized. I can't say that it's historically accurate, but it is available (unpersonalized) in the YKO Studio store as both a Shirt and a Mug. Our customer is very happy with the result, and so are we!
