After a lot of thought and a whole lot of prayer, I’ve made the decision to close the retail side of Wildfire Trading Co. — the official merchandise store of Forgotten Oklahoma.
This little shop has been more than racks of shirts and shelves of gifts… it’s been a place built on Oklahoma stories, history, laughter, and community. I am deeply grateful for every person who ever stopped in, ordered online, shared a post, or wore our merch out on the road representing Forgotten Oklahoma. You helped turn an idea into something real. 🤍
The honest truth is that small-town retail is hard — especially when you’re competing with massive online companies that can sell cheaper and faster. That’s just the reality right now. If there’s one thing I hope people take from this moment, it’s a reminder that when we choose to shop local, we’re choosing whether our small-town businesses get to stay. Every purchase truly matters more than people realize.
✨ What’s NOT going anywhere: The Pawnee Tag Agency is staying put. Forgotten Oklahoma Headquarters is still here, still growing, and still telling the stories of this state we love.
✨ What IS new and exciting:We’re incredibly proud to welcome MK Roofing & Construction’s Central Command Office into our building! Ryan’s business is growing by leaps and bounds, and we’re excited to give his team a dedicated space right in the heart of Pawnee.
As we close this retail chapter, we’ll be slowly liquidating inventory.
🔥 Starting tonight, EVERYTHING at forgottenok.com is automatically 25% OFF.🛍️ Beginning Monday, in-store retail will also be 25% OFF.
Some items may remain in small quantities moving forward, but many of these designs are being retired for good — and once they’re gone, they’re gone.
This post isn’t meant to be sad… it’s a celebration of what we built together and a pivot toward new growth. But if you’ve ever thought about grabbing a shirt, hoodie, hat, or gift from us, now is truly the time. Supporting local doesn’t just keep doors open — it keeps small-town dreams alive.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me. Pawnee isn’t losing Forgotten Oklahoma… we’re just turning the page to a new chapter. 💛
