Yes, we drove an hour to Pass Christian today.
Yes, it was worth it.
Yes, we will absolutely be going back. 😂🌿
First stop: PineHills Nursery, where apparently our brains immediately switched into PLANTS! PRETTY! NEED! mode and started handing out dopamine like free samples. 😂
And seriously, LOOK at this Luna Hibiscus! 🌺 Those enormous pink blooms with their deep red centers are just ridiculous. There was absolutely no scenario where we were leaving without it.
But Luna wasn’t coming home alone.
🌿 Lavender Firespike
🔥 Firebush, already covered in those gorgeous orange-red tubular blooms
💜 Coleus, because apparently we don’t currently possess enough foliage in dramatic colors
Between the firebush and firespike, the hummingbirds and butterflies are going to think we’ve opened an all-inclusive resort. 🦋🐝🐦
Dopamine level: HIGH.
Did we head home after the nursery?
Of course not.
Because right down the road was the Pass Christian Flea Market, and nothing pairs with a plant-buying dopamine hit quite like rummaging through other people’s stuff looking for things you didn’t know you needed until approximately three seconds ago. 😂
And we SCORED.
We found a beautiful wooden lamp box, a fantastic corner wire shelf, some absolutely stunning pots, and a cross for our indoor cross wall.
More dopamine. 🪴✨
So we left Pascagoula looking for plants and returned with plants, garden treasures, home decor and several objects that will undoubtedly cause me to rearrange something that was perfectly fine when I woke up this morning.
An hour there. An hour back.
Worth it?
ABSOLUTELY.
Pass Christian, we’ll be back. 🌺🌿😂
