Dear Monarca Fam,

Life and its many unexpected turns, twists and blessings, gives us the opportunity to reflect, grow and evolve. Which for me at this time, brings me to the decision to close Mercadito Monarca’s physical space.

Our last day is Sunday, September 3rd. We are having a huge sale to clear the store starting tomorrow at 12pm and hope you can join us.

There is so much I want to say, my heart is full of joy and profound gratitude because the absolute best part of this journey has been sharing time and space with you all. You all made this experience so meaningful - BEYOND my wildest dreams - and I will carry that in my heart for the rest of my life. 💕✨

Mil gracias de todo corazón to the artisans and brands that worked with me and supported me throughout the years. Especially this last year, which has personally been one of the most difficult years of my life. You all have become more than partners, you are friends and family.

This is not a good bye but a “nos vemos pronto” moment. I am planning on continuing my work in cultural arts and education so I hope that you keep following to join me on that journey.

I hope you’re able to come by, say hello and grab some great deals this week!

I want to give a big shout out to my first born Alex, who has been not only my right hand but my pillar, in this business for the past 2 years. Many of you have experienced that to know Alex is to love him. I am beyond honored and blessed to be this amazing human being’s mom. His gentle spirit and pure heart has taught me more than he will ever know and has lifted my broken heart many times during this very difficult past year.

Alex put his career on hold to help build our business and we decided that it was time for him to keep growing and glowing by sharing his talent and soulful ways with others. So you will not find Alex at Mercadito Monarca attentively helping you out or engaging you in interesting conversations about cultura and indigenous knowledge. He has joined an amazing organization, doing what he loves and aligned with our social justice and indigenous values. I am super proud of him and lovingly let him go to soar like the beautiful eagle that he is.

He is my child and will always have a place and a role in my business - especially with technology! His beautiful artistic creations will also be available for sale as long as he keeps it coming. So this is not a goodbye, just a big change in his “schedule” haha

Help me wish Alex all the best and feel free to share “Alex” moments.
