Took a little bit but officially got our photos from the Whatnot Seller Summit we spoke at in Austin, Texas at the end of April!

We will never forget the opportunity and memories made! They had a room set up with a professional photographer and everyone had the chance to go get their headshots done! It happened so quick you don’t really get to see what they look like, I was hoping we would love them and we sure do 💚💜 Had to share!

Fun fact: Whatnot ended up gifting us the props we are holding at the end of the conference! You’ll spot them on the top shelf in our Whatnot shows 🥳

🚨Look where we are! Fun fact: For the first year and a half, thrift stores were basically our second home. 😂 We primarily sourced for our Whatnot shows from thrift stores and were there constantly!! Before work, during lunch breaks and after work. We used to live so close to Goodwill, we would go there multiple times a day! The Bradenton/Sarasota Goodwills are top 5 in the country. So many people retire to Florida, which means incredible things are donated all the time! We have a lot of small church thrifts and hospital thrift stores we love to support as well, for obvious reasons. But regardless, we love thrifting!!

As House of Coop grew, we had to pivot more toward antique malls and larger picks to keep up with inventory, so getting to thrift now feels like a treat again 💜

What’s funny is our love for reselling really started way before House of Coop ever existed. Both of our moms thrifted everything when we were kids, so once Jacob and I got married, we naturally carried that into our own life together. Somehow that turned into us reselling vintage full time!

Spending the afternoon hitting some Goodwills before dinner tonight 💚💜

As new dachshund parents, of course we had to go check out Maddie Kerns aka Crazy Dachshund Lady’s new booth at Emiline's Antiques & Collectibles Mall located at 1415 Tenth St W, Palmetto, FL 34221.

This was the place we had our first vintage showcase before ever selling on whatnot!

If you’re in the area, go check out her space!
Congrats Maddie 🥳🐾

Found a strawberry glass oil lamp today 🍓

One of my favorite parts about vintage is constantly finding things I didn’t even know existed. We’re always trying to bring pieces to our shows that people don’t come across every day, and I had never seen one of these before until today. Really happy I found this!

Will be in Sunday nights show 🥳

I just found a bucket list item for my collection! Now the question is do I keep it white or do I spray paint it?! Regardless this was the cherry on top of today’s sourcing trip! 🍒

Quick storytime 😅 Has this ever happened to you?

I was almost done checking out at an antique mall when their entire system erased what was scanned after everything had already been wrapped up. We had to unwrap, rescan, and repack everything. Honestly, just a friendly reminder to give people grace when things happen that are out of everyone’s control.

I would of been stressed if I was in her shoes! The employee was very sweet and thanked me for my patience. Just something to look back and laugh about 💜

All is well, now back on the road 🥳

Mini road trip by myself to go sourcing today! Trying the new Alani Purple Cotton Candy drink I ordered off TikTok. They arrived super fast and I’d give it a solid 7/10 💜

It’s been almost two weeks since we’ve really been able to hit our go to sourcing spots, so I’m excited to see what I can find today. There’s nothing better than walking into a place after a little break because you never know what’s waiting !

What’s everyone up to today?

Last night we hit 90K friends on Whatnot!! This feels especially meaningful to Jacob and I because House of Coop continues to exceed our expectations all while still feeling exactly the way we hoped it would and staying true to who we are.

Followers do not equal sales. What it represents is the amount of people who believe in you. That is encouraging in itself. Thank you for being a part of our kind and supportive corner of Whatnot!

When we started selling vintage on Whatnot over two years ago, it was just a hobby to share our love for vintage while building our first home together. We had no idea it would grow from a side hustle into our full-time careers a year and a half in, and we definitely never imagined milestones like this being part of our story.

We had zero expectations at first, just joy for what we were doing. What unfolded naturally over time was a room where people felt welcome the second they came to our show. A place where people felt part of the experience instead of just another username in the chat. Jacob and I always want people to feel acknowledged, seen, and important because at the end of the day, we are simply treating people the way we would want to be treated ourselves while getting to share something we genuinely love. And of course we always bring a well thoughtout, curated show of hundreds of vintage finds every Wednesday + Sunday Night!

People connect to much more than vintage alone. They’re connecting to the atmosphere around it, the consistency, the person selling and the feeling of being part of something every week. Whether they purchase or not. There are real people choosing to join your show and check out what you have going on! That’s a HUGE deal!

The vintage community on Whatnot continues to inspire us because so many sellers in this category care about what they’re bringing to the table. You can feel it in the presentation, the creativity, the personality behind the rooms people create. We love supporting and uplifting other sellers and we’ve been overwhelmed with the support we recieve from so many of you!

It may be hard to believe, but we still feel like we are only scratching the surface of everything we want House of Coop to become. Every milestone continues motivating us to dream bigger, work harder, and continuing to stay grateful for the people who continue growing alongside us.

The best part of all of this is that we get to share it with you. Thank you for your never ending support and encouragement!

The best is yet to come 💜💚
