One of the biggest complaints we hear about store bought rods is handle length. 90% of the time they are just way too long. We have a very high success rate in fixing that problem. Well some folks will say.....What about the balance point?? Our theory is this. What difference does balance point make right now with that rod in your rod locker? When the handle length gets correct and no longer uncomfortable balance point is often forgotten. So lets make that uncomfortable setup work for you. Give us a shout🎣🎣🎣

No doubt the biggest portion of our work is guide/tip replacement. Hard to believe but I did my first rod repair over 25 years ago. Through this time I have learned a ton about rod repairs. Here at Lost Creek Custom our rod repairs are more than just something to get you by. We go to great lengths to keep on hand a large assortment of guides, tips and even thread colors. This allows us to make your repair as close to the original as possible. In some cases, when the customer wants a completely new guide train, the rod turns out better than when it was new. Even when it comes to older rods we can match the original guides and thread. So give us a shout if you have guides/tips in need of replacing.

If you had a family "keepsake" would you trust someone working on it? We fully understand having reservations when it comes to something that absolutely cannot be bought or reproduced. We have honestly taken more than 30-35 fishing rods that have been passed down by loved ones and cleaned them up and refreshed them for clients.

If there is any doubt in your mind we will talk over what work you would like done. Show you picture references of our work and break down in detail what needs to be done. We fully understand if you were to elect to just leave that fishing rod "as-is". We have had some rods come in that are more than 50 years old. It can be difficult to just let anyone work on that.

So if you have a fishing rod that has been passed down from a loved one and you would like to freshen it up just give us a shout.

Just because that old rod is showing some age doesnt mean its done. This rod is 30 years old and has actually held up to the Florida salt and sun quiet well. One of our strong points is grip repairs. As you can see this one was long over due. New fore grip, reel seat and full cork rear and this old rod is ready to get back at it. No matter what cause your grip damage we are very confident that we can fix it. Just give us a shout.
