Firearm malfunctions are never fun, and at the wrong time can be lethal. It's important to know what to do in the event of a malfunction, and for that we recommend taking a fi****ms proficiency course.

One of the easiest ways to prevent this is proper fi****ms maintenance. The firearm that has been sitting in a safe, or even in a holster, for a couple of years could probably use a good cleaning before you take it to the range. We sell various cleaning kits for all types of fi****ms.

Another option is to allow us to clean and inspect your firearm. We will ensure it is safe to use, there is no damage to internal parts you may not typically see, and that it is inspection ready.

The point where you need to employ your firearm is not the time you want to realize it needs some maintenance.

Planning on travelling this summer? Taking your firearm with you is always a good idea, but you have to do some homework first. Flying with a firearm is simple as long as you give yourself plenty of time at the airport. Check out the TSA and airline website for rules and regulations. And just a word of advice- keep an empty ammunition box so you have something to pack your ammo in. Most airlines require they are in a box specifically designed for ammunition.

Driving somewhere? Plan your route and check what the state laws are. If you get pulled over, do you need to declare to an officer that you are carrying? We ordered Tier 1 Concealed holsters about four years ago. About a month ago, I noticed a crack in the body of my holster and realized it wasn't long for this world. Four years is a pretty good time for a $90 investment. I emailed T1C and asked what my options were and they reminded me that they have a lifetime warranty. They got my new holster (upgraded because they don't sell the model I had) in about a week and a half, no additional charge. Great customer service.

On your body is the safest place to carry. Somebody can steal your car or sn**ch your purse, but it's really hard to get your britches off without your consent (especially when you make your argument loud enough). Get a good holster, it's worth the investment.

Last week we ordered some pepper spray after I had been chased by a dog on a run. It came in yesterday and I got to take it with me today. I love that it has an adjustable, elastic strap so I can make it fit my hand perfectly. It also has a flip cover to prevent you from accidentally spraying. Still have to figure out how to hold that, my water, and a leash, though. 🤣

Jerry Miculek is one of the greatest shooters of all time. He holds several world records, and I just like to hear him talk. This is a recent video of him talking about modifying an AR platform rifle to shoot softer (a lighter perceived recoil impulse). He goes over the benefits as well as the drawbacks. Worth a watch.
