Never fails - as soon as I clean and refill the hummingbird feeder a finch or chickadee drinks from the ant moat that’s filled with water. 😊🙃

Fall migration for monarch butterflies begins in mid-August and runs to mid-November. As they prepare for their long journey to Mexico or California, watch for monarchs fueling up on nectar from late-blooming plants like aster, blazing star, boneset, goldenrod, hyssop and more!

We are coming to the height of Hummingbird season here in our area. This is the time to make sure your feeders are clean and full. Nesting season is ending and all the young hummingbirds are out visiting flowers and feeders. The adults are busy too, feeding as much as they can to start bulking up for their long journeys south. We keep our feeders up through Halloween as migration for Hummingbirds can go thru Oct. Stop by for any supplies you need. We have a lot in stock. It’s not too late to get a feeder if you haven’t fed hummers yet. We can get you started with a quick how to and our favorite feeder. Happy Humming!

We've been noticing more birds and feeders showing up in movies and TV lately, and we love seeing nature represented in pop culture! 🐦

Check out the article below, which also includes a podcast where the creators of HBO's Task discuss why birds played such an important role in the series, who on set were the birders, why they ended the finale with birds instead of music, and even their use of the Merlin Bird ID app.

We also couldn't help but notice what looks like one of our Advanced Pole Systems in the closing credits of the season finale. 👀
