This is a one-owner, all original 1974 Gibson L-5 except for the pickguard and pickup covers. It is free of many of the issues you often see on Gibsons from this period: there is only a little light checking to the lacquer, mostly on the back, and the multi-ply binding is still tightly glued with no signs of cracking or shrinkage. For a 50+ years old Gibson that has been played, this L-5 is in exceptional condition!

The 00-SP with a cedar top was one of the original Huss & Dalton Guitar Company models when they began offering guitars 30 years ago. Gryphon was an early Huss & Dalton dealer, and this was one of our most popular models. Unlike now, small 12-fret guitars were rare back then, but the 00-SP still stands out today with its warm tone and quick response to the lightest touch. The neck is a comfy 1 3/4" at the nut, and when combined with the shorter string scale playability is equally easy.

This all-original 1965 Gibson ES-330 is one of the cleanest examples we’ve seen in years. The condition is excellent, and it has clearly been very well cared for throughout its life. It features a pair of original dogear P-90 pickups, which have clear and punchy mids, are slightly airy, but have that full tone that Gibson hollow-bodies are known for. The finish has aged lightly, with subtle lacquer crazing throughout, but there are no flakes or other notable wear.

This bajo quinto was made in 2022 by Salinas Guitars, a husband and wife team who build and restore guitars in San Marcos, Texas. The back and sides on this striking bajo are made from Brazilian rosewood and the top is Adirondack spruce.

For those who are unfamiliar, the Bajo Quinto is a 10-string bass guitar that is tuned in fourths to A-D-G-C-F, with the A and D doubled in octaves and the G, C and F tuned in unison. The Bajo Quinto is used as the rhythm instrument in a number of Mexican musical styles, particularly Norteño and Tejano music. And while it’s well-suited to Mexican music, it has a unique sound that can find a home in many other styles.

We are excited to offer one of the Martin D-45 Project 91 guitars, which are a limited run of exact replicas of each of the 91 examples of the Model D-45 made before 1942. We got #3, which is based on the first 14-fret D-45.

The top, back and sides of this Taylor K24ce Special Edition are made from solid koa, a combination that produces a beautiful guitar that sounds as good as it looks. This Next Generation version features Taylor’s scalloped V-Class bracing which produces a lively, punchy tone with a pronounced midrange response, clear trebles, and warm, resonant lows.

Paul Reed Smith (PRS Guitars) is best known as an electric guitar builder, but his acoustic instruments are right up there with some of the top boutique makers. This Tonare Grand is a large-body acoustic, built with a European spruce top and gorgeous cocobolo back and sides. Cocobolo shows up throughout, too, including the body binding and purfling, rosette, fingerboard, and bridge. The bracing is also unique, with a scalloped X-brace that transitions into fan bracing below the bridge plate. The result is a big, bassy voice with chime-y top end, lots of overtones, and plenty of volume. If you’re after a cannon of an acoustic guitar, this one can do just about everything.

If you know Travis Bean Guitars, you know they’re best known for their aluminum necks. When machinist Travis Bean partnered with Marc McElwee and Gary Kramer in the mid-’70s, they set out to do something totally different, and these instruments quickly gained a following with players like Jerry Garcia and Bill Wyman. The TB1000S is the company’s most common model, and a great example of what they did so well. This one features a koa body, a rosewood fingerboard, and a pair of Travis Bean designed humbucking pickups. After trying one out, it’s easy to see why these have such a loyal following - they are full of mojo and enjoyable to play.

This 1951 Gibson LG-1 is one of the cleanest and most original examples of a post-war LG-1 we’ve had, and it has the classic 1950s C-shape neck profile that sends fans of Gibson electrics from this period swooning. Amazingly, this guitar has no finish checking whatsoever—a rarity for post-WWII Gibsons, where finish checking is nearly a given (this is largely thanks to a relatively thin finish on this example). This LG-1 has a bright chiming tone that's distinctly different than X-braced Gibson models, and it's very easy to play.
