Treasure hunting with my sister, we accidentally came upon an auction.

We walked into this room of just history, art, and antiques. We received actual paddles while I searched for the fast talking cadence underneath a cowboy hat. Instead, we sat upon antique furniture while listening to the slow call of numbers for rugs and camel packing bags surrounded by about seven people.

We drove across St. Louis. One street made of gated communities while other houses crowded around each other. One estate sale embraced with fur coats, kaleidoscopes, and paintings while the other, foul smells.

The vintage stores were beautiful.

Goodwill bins was a war upon people, but that story is for another time.

As our cultures and realities are very different, we embrace each other’s love and life as we come together and do something we enjoy!!!!

What’s your favorite way to thrift and find treasures?

Also, I totally want to bid on that square statue for my yard. Neighbors beware.
