I don't eat sugar. Healthy biscuits without flour or sugar. The best recipe for dessert
Ingredients:

80g dried apricots
Water (to soak the apricots)
50g walnuts
100g peanuts
30g pumpkin seeds
30g sunflower seeds
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
1 tablespoon flaxseeds
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
50g almonds
1 egg white
1 tablespoon honey

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 180°C (360°F). Line a baking dish with parchment paper.

Place the dried apricots in a bowl and cover them with water. Let them soak for 5 minutes to soften.

In a food processor, combine the soaked apricots, walnuts, peanuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, flaxseeds, poppy seeds, and almonds. Pulse until the mixture is finely chopped and starts to stick together.

In a separate bowl, whisk the egg white until frothy. Add the honey and whisk until well combined.

Add the egg white mixture to the nut and seed mixture in the food processor. Pulse a few times to combine.

Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Use a spatula to press it down firmly and evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the bars are golden brown and set.

Once baked, remove from the oven and let the bars cool completely in the dish.

Once cooled, use a sharp knife to cut the bars into desired shapes and sizes.

Store the bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.

Enjoy these homemade nut and seed energy bars as a healthy and delicious snack on the go!

Bon appétit!

Tiny Gallery (706 4th W. Ave Anchorage) has put a new spin on first friday...instead of featuring a single artist, they are showcasing "tiny art" from a variety of artists. I have made some tiny (3"x3") fabric collage pieces. Be sure to visit Tiny Gallery to see an interesting and fun mix of tiny art made by Alaskan artists.

These are cotton bandanas, about 21" square. I've been doing 2 dyeing techniques...one looks like landscapes to me, the other is flowers. I'm getting ready for the Bad Girls of the North show at Hamilton Farm in Palmer on Saturday Dec 9 from 10-5. It's a fantastic venue...holiday decorations, an outdoor fire ring, a no-host beer and wine bar, free hot beverages. All of Palmer will be busy because the annual Colony Christmas fest is happening too. This event really starts the holiday season for me...hope to see you there!

Shop Small with Tiny Gallery on Small Business Saturday (11/25) and support local artists and makers like Annie’s Arts & Follies.

Tiny Gallery’s newest artist is Annie Ciszak.
Silversmith. Compulsive Knitter. One Woman Show.

Annie’s Arts and Follies has been cranking out one of a kind handcrafted jewelry since 2005. It started with a teacup and has turned into an empire. Well, not quite yet, but that’s the plan.

In addition to her powerhouse jewelry line, Annie creates beautiful 2D artwork with original pen and ink drawings on vintage papers, library cards, and other unique materials. You can find these unique treasures at Tiny Gallery!

Annie Ciszak, the brains and brawn behind the brand, hails fro Buffalo NY but has made Alaska her home. When not metal bashing, compulsively knitting, doodling, or neurotic hotcake snuggling, she hoards books like a squirrel, obsesses over Tudor England, and is planning the next great travel adventure.

Shop Small at Tiny Gallery on Saturday, November 25th from 10 am to 8 pm.
