Something a little different today.

I’d been searching for a portable snuffle mat that I could roll up and tuck into a dog training vest.

I ordered one online that looked promising.

It was disappointingly flimsy.

So hubby and I brainstormed today. He looked at one of my crocheted dishcloths and said, “Can’t you just crochet one?”

So I grabbed Bernat Blanket Yarn, a big hook and got to work.

A few hours later and voila!

The perfect portable, washable snuffle mat. 🐶

Slowly but surely making my way through end rolls of netting and a bag of cotton scraps.And now these scrappy scrubbies ...

Last fall I started searching for a new dog sport to play with my mixed breed that I retired from agility.

We discovered Barn Hunt. 🐁

Turns out Tuck LOVES it!

So what does that have to do with this cute little rat that I finally finished last night?

It’s an auction item that I’m donating for the care of the real rats that our dogs search for in Barn Hunt.

Don’t worry, they’re safely contained in tubes during the search, the dogs can’t physically touch them.
