Calling all GT owners!

Ready to ditch that hard ass bouncy tire?! Have an XR or Plus you're willing to sacrifice? LETS GO! Imagine your favorite XR tire but on the GT!

Bring me your plus/XR hub or board. I'll take it to a machinist for modification so we can fit the GT stator (motor). New bearings are necessary, which I will provide and install. Your GT hub, faceplate, and motor WILL NOT BE MODIFIED IN ANY WAY!

Price including hub modification, FAG bearings, & all labor. $400 ($325 if you have FAG bearings previously installed by me on the donor hub). Bonus, add just $100 for badgering if done at the same time. I may be willing to work out a trade for the balance of your donor boards parts depending on the situation.

If you need a new/different tire, the tire & sealant cost is not included. Some larger tires like the Maxxis 6.5 won't fit due to rubbing. Learned that the hard way! Haha. T2, Whisper, Enduro, & TP will fit.

Expected time-line: one week to machine the XR hub. I won't need the GT until we do the swap. That can be done on the spot in about an hour unless we are badgering at the same time. Then I need the board overnight.

GT Badgering without a hub swap is $150. There is only one bad leak spot on every GT I've done so far. So I am able to do it faster/cheaper. I will need the GT for 2 hours and it won't be rideable until the following day.

I know this issue will be corrected by Future Motion but damn this is irritating when we have a 65 degree evening in Cleveland this time of year! Lol.

GT DAY 2 UPDATE (IMPORTANT)!

The BMS (printed circuit board that controls the battery) on the GT is extremely sensitive to the cold! Worse than we thought! It was 53 degrees in my garage where I let my GT sit for 10 minutes while padding up for a ride. It again cut off all power and seemed bricked! It was previously indoors overnight. This same thing happened to a friend on a 5 minute car ride while his GT was in the trunk. We both had to use space heaters to be able to ride! Obviously the built in thermostat is way to sensitive for these California cream puffs!

THIS IS A BIG ISSUE FOR COLD WEATHER RIDERS. 50 degrees shouldn't be an issue! We will all likely need to send our boards back for repair to operate properly.

On the bright side, the power increase is significant! I climbed up some gnarly hills today on gravel that was nearly impossible before the GT! However, the tire still sucks 😆! Again, this board will be an XR killer, it will just need some of the community love we've had in the past!

Oh yeah... and I mounted FlightFins on this monster! Wahoo!
